The Government of Canada organizes a benefitting number of scholarship programs for international students, some of which you can find below.
Privately Funded Scholarships
There are private business and donors willing to fund scholarships for some international students. These scholarships, are mostly targeted to students from developing countries or from minority groups or in a particular field of study. Such scholarships are aimed at ensuring reasonable development and also improving the life of the people within that field or country.
These can range from small one-off payment students can use towards their fees or a larger payment that is staggered to cover certain costs of going to university.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships
These scholarships were organized to attract and retain world class students with doctoral degrees. The Vanier graduate scholarship is worth around CAD$50,000 (£31,000) per annum for three years and can be used for a doctoral degree or for both masters and PhD.
Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships
This scholarship is offered to foreign students doing postgraduate studies in fields related to natural and social sciences or health sciences.
IDRC Doctoral Research Awards
This scholarship is for students from developing countries that are presently studying at a university in Canada.
NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships
These scholarship is a Canadian government scholarship for students choosing to study field’s related to natural sciences or engineering.
Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships
These scholarships present at the University of Toronto is aimed at recognizing international students that demonstrated exceptional academic achievements. The scholarship was introduced to cover tuition fees, books, incidental fees and full residence fees for 4 years.
